In 2024, Nora Noonan was one of the students that participated in the Spring Semester in Ireland. This is from a post she made on LinkedIn... This semester, I made the exciting decision to study abroad in Ireland! Throughout the past 4 weeks, I have been learning a new way of life, while also entering a new institution at Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) and now starting an internship at EisnerAmper Ireland! During my time at IADT, I will be studying the history and culture of Ireland with my Loras College professor, Kirstin Lauritsen. I have also gotten the opportunity to study under Michael Murphy, as we discover the impact of family business in today's world. Last week, I began my journey with EisnerAmper Ireland! At this cutting-edge specialty accounting firm, I will be working closely with the Human Resources team to understand their approach to workplace culture and operations. I look forward to bringing what I learn back home with me to Dubuque, IA! Thank you Ethan Curran Connolly and Jennifer Higgins Assoc CIPD for this opportunity! In the first few days of training, I have already absorbed more information and warmth than I could have imagined! So excited to see how this semester enhances my professional skills and ambitions! Here's to getting out of your comfort zone! |
