Students need to enroll in 6 credits in the summer to be eligible for federal grants and/or loans. Since this is a 3 credit course, they cannot receive financial aid and as a general rule we do not award any Loras aid in the summer (tuition per credit hour is cheaper during summer). If anyone expresses concern about cost, encourage them to see Julie Dunn in the Loras Financial Aid office. She can see if there are any options available to them this semester to carry over for summer. No promises, but at least all options would be exhausted.
