photo of Stanley Wojnicz

Stanley was a photographer and had a studio for a time in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He joined the army (Wisconsin 29th Div 116 Infantry Private) and served as an ambulance driver. He was killed during World War I in France during an artillery barrage, and is buried in the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, France (his last name is spelled 'Woinicz' on the marker).

His mother Adela Wojnicz was one of the Gold Star mothers that was transported to France to visit her son's grave site.
